Adidas Staff Restaurant “Stripes”
This restaurant for the staff of a sportswear manufacturing company is situated on a lakeshore in a woodland grove. Following the gentle topography of the site’s slope, an exciting spatial concept unfolds, inside and outside the building, comprising terrace-like areas, each with a different atmosphere. These atmospheres are accentuated by the changes in level, and by the diverse materials such as floor coverings and surfaces, and the furniture.

The roof is executed as a twin-shell construction featuring a ventilated foil with micro perforations on the inside. This fulfils the requirements of room acoustics and solar shading. The coated foil also acts as a thermal mirror in combination with the floor cooling system.
An earth duct utilizes the ground material beneath the structure to cool and heat the building. Additionally, the thermal properties of the reinforced concrete ceiling an: the stone surfaces are also activated.

The building is ventilated naturally. Fresh air from the outside is fed into the building through under-floor air supply elements and slat windows, while outgoing air is transported to the outside via the slat windows.
All service functions, such as the kitchen, with its storage and equipment rooms, are practically pushed into slope, receding visually into the background.
