Samara Central Railway Station – This project is not only a new train station but also a redevelopment of the central Komsomolsky Square. The station and its tall tower with its reflecting, brightly illuminated facade, trapezoidal extensions, soaring lift tower and tube-shaped concourse is striking in its functional construction. A tube-like steel and glass construction optimally channels passengers to six platforms, providing separate entrances for arriving and departing passengers. In the context of urban planning, the station is a multifunctional venue, including a cultural facility, shops, cafés and restaurants.
